ABOUT

"From a purely subjective perspective, the best tracks on the EP are “For You” and “Dreaming of Saturn,” although for a fact all five-tracks are excellent, mostly because of their gentle undulating harmonic flows and, of course, Limpiroj’s luscious voice."

- Randy Radic, Rawckus Magazine

"The honesty and relate-ability in the music is divine. Dunebug is able to convey emotions perfectly, and this EP is a beautiful representation of her work."

- FV Music Blog

Dunebug is the solo project of Manchester-born Chi Limpiroj, DIY musician in every sense of the word. Self-taught in guitar and singing, and with a background in sound recording, Chi combined these skills to craft her first Dunebug EP in the comfort of her own bedroom, as well as singles such as "Alone Like Me" and "Summer in Love", and her forthcoming debut album "Impossible With You". Her song "Baby it's Over" was broadcasted on BBC Introducing Manchester, which appeared to be well-received due to the multiple plays on the show. Musical influences in her life include Cat Power, Feist, Beach House, Soccer Mommy, Japanese Breakfast, Sasami and Jay Som. Her previous band Chi & the Twelfth Wall supported the likes of Lucy Rose, Slow Club, Alessi's Ark and Roddy Woomble around Manchester and Leeds, as well as playing at Magneet festival in Amsterdam. Her debut self-titled EP echoes her feelings of love, rejection, and everything in between, a sound that has matured alongside her as a person since the Chi & the Twelfth Wall days. Follow the break-up of the first band, Chi had a five-year fall out with music until one day after moving down to London, Dunebug was born after picking up guitar for the first time in years, and has recently assembled a band for live performances.
